Clay
Whistles - Art IV |
 |

Students began by forming the basic whistle, testing
and adjusting when necessary, to be sure that it whistled. After
getting the whistle to sound like they wanted it, they added clay to make
a recognizable object, then Mrs. Lilly took them home to be fired in her
kiln. After firing (at over 1800 degrees)
students used acrylic paint to finish off their
whistles.
